Why I’m an Amazon LoverOn July 23, 2017 by Samantha Jean
You know what I’m known in the office for? Shopping on Amazon. People actually know that if there is something I want but I can’t get it on Amazon, I’m probably not going to get it at all. Because very seldom do I ever run a quick or last minute errand anymore to go pick something up at the store. Except my groceries, of course. And yes, I realize that’s a little extreme, but hey, I’m just being honest.
If you have an Amazon Prime membership then you already understand what I am talking about. It’s amazing. I get everything off there! My toilet paper, lotions, cleaning products, dog food, toys, and about a million other things. They also have a ‘subscribe and save’ option that I adore. My staples that I need relatively often get set up to be automatically delivered at a time I set each month so I don’t even need to think about it!
I got hooked when I came back to work from maternity leave, and one of the girls in my office explained to me how she gets her toilet paper, paper towels, and other big, bulky necessities delivered to her door automatically each month so she doesn’t have to go pick those items up at the store with her two little boys. I think we can all agree that some trips to the store with toddlers can end up quite traumatic. So, I thought, “hey that sounds super fantastic!” and I hopped on board the train. It’s a mommy life saver.
And! I have found Amazon also has super cute dresses and shoes for me! Yes, you read that correctly. Do you know how awesome that it? They are cost effective AND they get delivered to my door in two business days. Some of my favorite pairs of shoes have come from Amazon, like this awesome pair of grey booties below. Some people sound shocked when I tell them that, and maybe at first it sounds weird, but I kid you not—they have some damn cute stuff on there.
Some of my favorite beauty products have come from there, too. Body Merry is one brand I found uses Amazon to sell their products, and they work great! I use their glycolic acid face wash (pictured below!), retinol serum, and eye cream, and they are all amazing and good quality. I struggled with acne and dry skin after I stopped breastfeeding, and these fun items have been essential in turning that around.
My daughter also gets the majority of her items from Amazon, like towels, toys, her vitamins, and—oh yeah—clothes! Yes, I said it. I’m not one to spend $40 on an outfit for my two-year-old because, let’s be real—many of those adorable pieces get stained on the first or second wear, or she grows out of them so quickly. This is the first year she might actual fit in some of her clothes for over six months. And because Amazon has some cute pajamas and clothes on there for toddlers, I just shop on there. This adorable navy outfit pictured below was one of her birthday gifts and was super affordable. I leave the overly expensive and fancy items to my ex and his mom to buy for Paislee, at least for now. She won’t know the difference.
So, in summary, I am a total Amazon lover, but with good reason! There’s a reason Amazon Prime is so popular! And I wouldn’t talk it up if I didn’t honestly love it to death. I get everything I need in two days without the hassle of those last minute trips. Truthfully, I’m just all about online shopping in general, so if you have any other great finds or sites that you use to help make your life a little bit easier, I’d love it if you’d share them! Or maybe you have some items you use religiously from Amazon? Share those, too!!
